A Little Fall Fancy
It’s not much, but a little break in our school schedule allowed me a few moments for some freshening up.
I love fall. And like Anne,
“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
If you have never been to West Virginia in the autumn, well, I just feel sorry for you. Come visit!
I’ve been wanting to make Elsie’s Fall Leaves Garland and am so glad I finally did. It took all of about fifteen minutes and is just a pretty little festive touch. I used embroidery thread and a mix of flannel and felt.
I can also attest to the fact that, yes, tea lights nestled in coffee beans indeed will make your house smell like a coffee shop. Mmmm…coffee. Thank you, Pinterest.
Finally, I’ve been itching to try out a few new fall recipes. This Roasted Chicken and Butternut Soup is amazing. My sister in law served it up to us one week and I zipped right home and made it again the next. My advice? Make it the day before you intend to serve it. It increases in deliciousness after the first day.
Here are a couple more I am anxious to try:
Crock Pot Turkey White Bean Pumpkin Chili
Do you have any “fall fancy” you’d like to share?

Fall is my favourite as well. I also love Anne of Green Gables–and soup! Can’t wait to try your recipe. Thanks!
Making a second batch of soup, it’s so amazing! I added a bit of corn this time for extra snazziness.
So glad you like it, Natalie! You can ultimately thank Jessi.
