Verbage in our Home
I’ve been enjoying this book recently. It’ been yet another way to help me seek (and find!) the beauty of a simple life, and of my calling, here at home.
If you are a follower of my hubby on Twitter or are a Facebook friend, you will often read so many of the funny things that do not remain unsaid in our home. (most recently involving poop, of all things–but it’s not always that gross)
This little “sketch” spoke to me about such things, and I thought I would share. This author certainly has a lovely way with words…
On High Horses
I sing of words preposterous, of speed lemons and babloons and music to my nose (the smell of coffee). I sing of blood jumping up and down and kicking its feet, the way you once described excitement. I sing of runful and jumpful.
Blessed be your verbs: “Mommy, I drinkdid a glass of water,” “I wroot you a letter,” ” I holded on,” “I bees happy.” Off you go on high horses, two jesters juggling cockeyed words into my straight and narrow air.

Always we enjoy the reports from home. Thanks too for introducing us to the lady of “speed lemons.”
I added the book to my list of summer reading.
Thanks.
